MYOF ( 23^rd August 2008 )

I woke up 7.30a.m. early in the morning.....Feeling very anxious and panicked.....Many thoughts flowed through my mind that time . “ Am I going to perform this perfectly ? “ , “ Will I embarrassed myself by playing wrong notes ? “ , “ Is my expression good enough ? “ , “ Who are my competitor ? “ , “ What song are they going to play ? “ ....

No doubt....I have tons of reason to worry....I only learnt this song around 30^th June 2008 and when I submitted the competition form.....I am only learning the second page.......

Oh well , I kept practicing that morning with my heart pounding .....luckily my mother was there to guide me well . ( Last minute brush up ) . Jo-Yee arrived @ around 9.30a.m. and we are ready to set off............that is until..... ( WHEN I FOUND MY SHOE IS MISSING )

I opened my shoe cabinet .....taking every shoe out....but in the end , me and my maid can’t even find my shoe....Later only i remembered that my shoe was in my room... !! funny.....

We reached @ Putrajaya Marriot Hotel @ around 10.30a.m. ( we kinda get lost when my dad just went straight to putrajaya when the hotel is near 101 mall.....=.=.....)

The hotel is really huge !! spacious !! luxurious !! awesome !!

Me and Jo literally camwhored around the place like crazy...

And I think that we are the ones who explore around the place the most compared to other contestants..

After we registered our names @ our respective counter , we started to walk around the halls and even went in to some rooms . Perak room is extremely small ( like those in ABRSM exams in hotels where only few people can actually see those contestants playing ) and the piano is the super small size acoustic piano...( i was like WHAT !! ) whereas , Selangor room ( which is my room ) is much more spacious and big.....not to mention HUGE !! and we get to play on grand piano on stage....( at least ....tht looks more like a competition to me Xd )

When the clock strikes 12 ( eh...macam Cinderella shj..XD ) we went into perak room....Jo is the 2^nd contestant ( like me Xd )...When we entered the room...there’s this guy..( so geng ) who played sun flower on the piano ( he’s practicing ) and everyone just goes... “ whoa !! “ Xd . After him , Jo also practiced on the piano a little .

Well , she played quite well for the competition...not to mention this is the 1^st competition she joined...Anyways , I was shocked that the “ sun flower “ guy didn’t won when he played so well in the competition...

After that , we had lunch ...where unfortunately for me...i only ate a little......I WAS TOO ANXIOUS BECAUSE MY COMPETITION IS GOING TO START @ 3 !!!

After lunch , Jo and me went into Selangor room....before the competition starts , we took pictures as well Xd

I was so shocked that I was the 1^st contestant to go and play !!! ( i am suppose to be the 2^nd !! ) oh whatever

I was kinda panicked that time

But i am quite satisfied with my performance...

Well , i played Rachmaninoff Prelude in Gminor...honestly...I think my piece is the 2^nd hardest there after La Campanella.....

Since i’m the 1^st contestant...It took such a long time for me to wait for the result...I was so anxious and panicked when the other contestants played...i even though that i’m going to get last place Xd

After the competition ended ,

A guy ( i think he’s in his 20’s ) got number 1 by playing Liszt’s La Campanella , the 2^nd place goes to a girl ( 20’s ) who played Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in B minor ( not to mention she was last year’s diploma popular category winner ) tough competitor ) and the 3^rd place goes to Eunike Winoto ( she is also the winner of 2008 Diploma Popular Category) , 4^th place goes to a guy who played Brahms Zwei Rhapsodian...and 5^th place goes to me....
