My College life officially commences from today onwards .....
Reached college at around 9.50am , collected our blur Tarc t-shirt ( trust me , i looked SO ugly )
and adjourned to the hall....
The two emcees are quite funny actually xD I actually enjoyed them talking xD
got to know Elaine Ooi who was sitting beside me in the hall ( she's doing mass com. )
and on my right , Rachel Kong who is doing A levels science
After the briefing on several things in the hall , we adjourned to the lecture hall ( just to visit the place ) then me and Rachel went to the canteen , Andrew shocked me by saying hi on the way as i didn't know he's also taking a levels there
On the way to the canteen , i met my piano mate ( my senior...and she was under Ms Gan - my previous teacher ) I didn't know they have some talentime night on the 4th July and the auditions will be held throughout the whole week ( this week )
so last minute right ?
I just don't know what to do , the college have no piano , if i dance , i dance with who ? If i play in a band....( which i think it's the most possible ) when can we practice ? ( lester and eugene is also in that college , so yeah....one drummer and one guitarist )
Not sure whether i want to go for the audition or not , I'm actually VERY interested and the thing that makes it so ARGH it's that the TALENTIME event is only available for freshies only
so next year i can't join =(
i only have a few days to prepare....which i don't even know what i want to do !!! confused betul....
We went to the canteen which is so packed with people , ate pancake and we went to the foyer area....
Apparently , the talentime committees are there to do the promotions with the Odyssey Night committees ....
honestly , i'm quite confused because talentime and Odyssey Night seems to be quite similiar
but apparently , Talentime is more on showcasing your talents , and Odyssey Night it's like a Pageant......
and both auditions are held at the same time....
saw the Talentime committee guy dancing to some songs ( quite cool actually ) and i think they jammed to Taylor Swift's you belong with me before that...
im excited but i JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO....
tak akan i dance solo...i don't even know what to dance lol
2pm , i went to the Lecture hall ( for all a levels people ) and i think i saw Wei Bo there , i think we stared with the " eh... i know you look " but haha , i'm still not sure until they introduced him as BO.....
The Gabriel guy is really funny lols xD So talkative.... Oh ya , have i mentioned that when we enter the college hall , there are videos on the screen , and a few of them are to promote talentime lols xD and yeah , the guy is quite cute and handsome lol and the girl is so funny haha xD Kevin and Jade i think xD
In the lecture hall , when we are suppose to get to know each other , what a coincidence on my right , i saw Dhien Ai ( SBS mate ) lols xD
the head of SPUS ( school of pre-university studies ) briefed us through everything about Cambridge A levels......
we have 2 exams ( one in may , and one in nov ) next year that is...
Honestly , it's not boring at all....but it's quite frightening to know that if you fail your papers in may , you will have to retake the papers and the new papers which equals to 19 PAPERS !
lol.....what a way to motivate you to study harder right ?
coz if you get good results for your AS ( may ) , then you can concentrate on your final paper ( 4 papers ) in november....
something like that
The Bigger Head of SPUS studies , Madam Looi i think , is really funny as well haha xD
i love the lecturers xD
and i didn't know the college is SO big until Madam Looi said that there are a few unique gardens ( Koi garden , spiral garden , molecule garden ) and etc...all are made to suit the theme mentioned.....
Have yet to visit the whole college and know more friends
I only know 2 new friends btw
and i'm not lonely
because TARC is really saturated with SBS people
and sadly , none of them are taking A LEVELS ARTS
i've yet to meet a friend who is from the same class as me
there will be 13 science classes and 3 art classes
so you do the math la haha xD
The books are quite reasonable...i think all total up = RM 333 , i think it's cheap compared to some others ( I think )
RM333 not including Business Studies text book yet....because they didn't state the price
so i actually told Mary that my book is free =p ( as if la ) haha xD
oh ya
i have to study 3 law books 0.0
and three of them cost RM235...
