Food for thought... :

MCA said that if they did worst in the next general election than in the 2008 election ,
They might not be able to represent US ( Chinese ) ANY longer...

wow...words of " threat " or votes of sympathy ?
( Random : Today's Star newspaper was really interesting xD they describe it as " Mouth kung fu between Dr. C and the opposition head lols !! )

But the opposition party always dab in Chinese rights and issues...
which might not help a lot.
.
When can all these actually stop ?

You know what ?

When they say that " All PARTIES SHOULD UNITE TO HELP THE NATION ...REGARDLESS OF POWER AND ETC " - incumbent party's quote some time ago...

erm....it's so superficial...so hypocritical ( to be exact )

they said that all should unite but they want to be " independent " in power ( seems to be that way )

Another random thing....

the Anti-Corruption campaign here is really a hypocritical campaign as well...
because they kept promoting about " no corruption " but in the government they do it as well...

If you say that your country do not have any corruption ?
It's not true...

Every country have a certain degree of corruption

For instance : In Cambodia , bribing is common and it's done in the public ( not hidden )
In Malaysia , it's half : public ( some police officers when you got your saman )
In Singapore , it still happen ( i guess ) but to a very minimum and hidden point.

Some said that here ,
the government corrupt like crazy...

I heard a person in a teaching profession told us this :

" I went to Australia , and we were on this mini ferry...I looked to the right and saw many awesome-looking houses !! The guide told us that these houses are really expensive and all are uniquely-made ( that's why they are so lavish-looking ! ) . He then pointed to the left and said

" See there , that house is owned by one of the ex-PM of your country ! The tiles are specially imported from Italy ( pricey ! ) and many others house parts are shipped from many countries as well . I heard that his wife have a thing for lavish housing items ! "

Imagine , PM here only earns RM 25,000 a year ( i read it from somewhere..correct me if i'm wrong )
and how can he afford such a LAVISH-LOOKING house in a HIGH-END area in Australia ?
* Mind you ! that house is only a VACATION HOUSE !!! ( they don't stay there often )

My guess is corruption...

hmmm....i sense something odd :

Government ministers here earn quite little compared to ministers from other countries...
That's why they corrupt to earn money i guess...

And people are complaining that they corrupt...

S ministers earn 10,000 SGD a month !!
and the people are complaining that it's a huge and unreasonable amount...
but corruption is to the minimum there....

both ways also people complain...

hmmm....
the world is filled with unresolved problems..
